Tracey shrugged. "I guess not…" What good would come of admitting that Heidi was right? She knew that Heidi wouldn't treat someone like that. Whatever games they had played, or seemed to play with Ginny, it was only because it was never truly sincere.
The silence between them was so tense it could have been cut with a knife. Tracey had almost just leaned in and kissed her but she waited because she wanted Heidi to do it. Then she was gone.
"All this shite," Tracey muttered. Heidi hit home again. She wanted something and hated being denied. She tried to convince herself that it wouldn't have hurt for Heidi, but the way she spoke made it hard.
Once again, she looked down at her feet and stewed in silence.
