Hearing the intense anger in Heidi's tone, Tracey winced. Everything Heidi said was true. She had not standing…she had thrown that away. She'd also thrown away any ability to help the girl she loved with her problems.
Tracey hung her head in shame inside the sanctuary of the cloak. The ability to hide was one of he few joys she had in life. If no one could see her, no one could judge her. No one could try and find out what she was thinking or feeling.
Looking around as Heidi continued to yell, they were alone for the moment. That was likely to change though. Biting back a sigh, Tracey reached inside her bag to get a slip of parchment and a quill.
