Heidi came to a stop on the deserted, narrow street. She looked around. Had she just imagined the feeling. She heard the noise of something drop and her head swiveled around. Nothing was there. Cautiously, she walked a few steps and looked down to see a dropped bag of groceries.
Taking her sunglasses, she pushed them up to rest on her head, pushing back her hair from her face and revealing her once bright eyes that now were clearly the eyes of a person who knows her way around a bottle or drugs. Other than that, she looked practically the same as she did when she was in school.
Kneeling down, she gently picked up the spilled contents adn put them back in the bag. She knew whose they were, it was obvious. She had the urge to just leave them, but her predominant kind streak won out. Taking the bag, she decided to hold onto it for the moment until she found a suitable spot to place it where the food wouldn't be ruined.
Heidi could feel Tracey close. Very close. But she didn't know where. Heidi decide to try her chances and turn the corner. When she did, she was hit by the feeling of Tracey being so close, but she still couldn't see her.
