Tracey didn’t know what to do. “Why am I torturing myself?” she asked herself in a whisper so soft that no one else would be able to hear it for certain. Seeing Heidi made her ache. It wasn’t the dull, pleasant ache of love and want it was sharp and horrible. She felt like she deserved it after what she had done…
Before she really realized what was going on, Heidi was coming towards her. Tracey scrambled into her bag, her sack of groceries hitting the ground. From her handbag, she pulled out a “gift” from Sara Nott; an invisibility cloak. Not so much a present but a tool for when she wanted to escape into Tracey’s arms only to treat her like a piece of shite and a total whore the second they were done.
Slipping it over her head, Tracey disappeared. Stepping into the shadows, she tried to keep as still as she could but found she was trembling. Trying to keep herself under control, she waited to see if Heidi came around the corner. She told herself she didn’t want her to but Tracey also knew that at least part of her hoped to lay eyes on Heidi so close.
