After stepping out into the crisp air, Heidi stood still for a moment, composing herself as she stared at the sky. She couldn't believe she had just seen Tracey for the first time in years. A whirlwind of emotions were going through her mind.
She knew that she shouldn't have expected to never see Tracey again, you usually saw schoolmates around. Just not ones that you had such a connection with. It brought back all the old memories she had pushed down. The sadness, the anger.
Sighing, she began to walk, not anywhere particular, she didn't feel like going home just yet. Reaching into her bag, she took out the previously opened bottle of firewhiskey and took another drink.
Soon, she felt someone watching her. The same feeling she had felt in the store.. Looking around, she turned onto a narrow, deserted street and looked around, tensing as she knew exactly who it was that was watching her.
