“Would I be a terrible student if I said no?” Megan asked with a groan. “No, not at all,” she admitted with a little giggle. “I know…I am terrible. I just…really didn’t feel like doing them.”
“Please tell me that you aren’t another Granger in disguise?” Megan teased since Lavender hadn’t answered as to what other interests she had. “I’d hate to think that you are really into your studies or something!”
Megan looked down when she felt Lavender’s hand holding hers. She looked back in front of her as if nothing happened but her heart was hammering in her chest. It wasn’t that holding hands was a big deal. However, she couldn’t have imagined Lavender doing that.
Laughing, she assumed Lavender was joking about getting lost. “You made it six years here without ever going to the courtyard?” she asked with a smirk. “It’s all right, I won’t let you get lost.”
That’s something I would do if I was interested in someone, Megan pondered. She had a very goofy flirting style, very much unlike her best friend’s. Could Lavender be the same way?
“I know something we have in common,” Megan offered as they arrived in the courtyard. “Boys,” she announced as she pulled Lavender over to a bench and sat down. She smiled at Lavender knowingly.
