“Maybe you should,” Alice agreed, smiling brightly. Tucking her chin again, she tried to look coy and sexy. She even pivoted her foot and struck a bit of a pose before breaking down into a fit of giggles.
“I’m sick of standing,” she announced suddenly. “Want to come sit with me?” Alice was pretty sure Bella would, so she didn’t wait for an answer. Taking off her cloak, it was barely warm enough so let them sit in the fading sun on her cloak. Resting her back against a small tree, she waited for Bellatrix to join her.
“Why wouldn’t I?” Alice asked. She took flak for her friendship to Bellatrix, to be sure, but she didn’t hide it. The only thing she hid was the new turn their relationship had taken.
