Katie really didn’t know what she had been doing. The whole of the day was a blur in her mind. She went to Hogsmeade. She had been really excited to go. She was…going with someone? Yes. That was what made her so excited to go. But who?
She saw dark hair in her mind's eye. Had an angel come down? She looked like an angel. Her blue eyes were so beautiful and deep… She had screamed. Why? Why had he angel been so upset and afraid?
Katie was being scooped up and carried. Why had she been on the ground?
There had been wind and lightning and she had been floating in the air. Why had she been floating? "Where's my broom?" Katie had whimpered, she remembered that.
She was safe and being carried…someone big and hairy and musky was carrying her and protecting her. Then it had all gone black…
"Wh-where am I?" Katie croaked. Her throat was as dry as the desert and she could barely talk. She tried to open her eyes but it was hard. Eventually, she managed to pry them open.
Under blankets, Katie was in a dimly light white room. Next to her, there were a few potion bottles on a little table. She was in a bed but had been propped up. She groaned again feeling nauseous and achy.
Katie had only made it a few inches off the bed before she fell back and groaned with pain as another wave of nausea washed over her. "I'm…gonna be sick," she moaned, still not able to focus her eyes as she fumbled around trying to find something to be sick in. |
