Elly's heart was pounding as she neared the third floor corridor that had the statue of the one-eyed witch. She tried not to worry too much. What were the chances they would get caught? According to Fred, he and his twin had done this a hundred times if they'd done it once. They'd never been caught, surely she and Garnet could do it once without getting caught.
Having donned the dress that Garnet had given her, Elly wore a cloak over the elegant, black dress that was cinched with a star behind her leaving most of her back bare. She wore the new boots Lanna had gotten her. Elly's hair was piled up atop her head and she had dark eye makeup on.
Standing next to the statue, Elly stepped into the shadows and hoped the next person she saw was Garnet. |
