"An agreement?" Tracey looked incredibly skeptical. Maybe the hatred had been one way and Sara was playing Daphne in some way? Living in Heidi's world since the beginning of the year had dulled her sense of paranoia and intrigue. She couldn't see where the links were between the two. "I thought you couldn't stand the sight of her?" Tracey looked at Sara questioningly. "And she isn't too fond of you either, right?"
Seeing Sara standing in the middle of the room like she was made Tracey's heart break. Tracey shifted from foot to foot, unsure what to do. She chewed her bottom lip. Drawing a deep breath, she walked back over to her and pulled her into a loose hug and stroked her hair soothingly.
It was so strange to be consoling Sara. She'd come here to confront her. It wouldn't have surprised her if she ended up slapping Sara again. How had things changed so much?
In the back of her mind, Tracey wondered if she was being a sucker. Was Sara playing her? It was possible, but Sara never showed weakness. Never. Tracey doubted she could do it so convincingly.
"Oh." Because of what happened with Sara, Tracey wasn't going to jump to conclusions about Lavender. After all, Ginny and Katie were both in Gryffindor. It was possible they had done something that outed her, even if it wasn't malicious.
