Tracey found that her mind reeled as Sara held her. It was a contradiction that she couldn't come to grips with. Holding her ex tight, it was only Sara and Tracey in that moment. She was immensely sad about what had happened between them.
"Daphne did?" Tracey couldn't believe it. Why would she do that? Did Sara have something on her? She didn't think for a second that they didn't hate each other. Nothing could have changed that much… "Why?"
Tracey blushed. It hadn't been a gift in her mind in so long that she had trouble remembering it that way. She'd tried to do something nice for Sara and give her something hot for when she wasn't there. What would happen to it now?
"Thanks. I… thought you'd like it." Tracey's deepest regret was that it captured the fight afterward. She would have found a way to get rid of that if she had given it to Sara as a gift.
In Sara's arms, Tracey felt suddenly awkward. Slowly, she pulled back and out of Sara's grasp. Thinking of what was on the crystal and being so close to her ex had created some conflicting feelings inside her.
Despite Sara's apologies, Tracey couldn't so easily get over all the cruel things she had done even if it had been Lavender who had outed her.
"So, Lavender is the one that told people about me? How did she even know?" Tracey felt a sick feeling because she suspected that it had been Professor Delacour that had told her.
