Sara stood silently, holding on to Tracey as if her life depended on it, aware that this may be the last and only time she would be able to hold the girl. She let the apology sink into both of them. She had never spoken with more conviction in her life than she did with those words.
Seeing that Tracey had figured out that she had the crystal, Sara decided there was no use trying to deny anything. "Daphne gave it to me."
"I know what it is. What it showed." Her voice teetering on emotion as she remembered the scene the crystal showed. She knew she had every right to be angry at Tracey, for trying to out her like that, but she couldn't find it in her to get angry at the blonde. Even when she was angry, it was never really at Tracey as much as herself. "It would have been a nice gift, really. A sweet one."
