“She wouldn’t do that.” For a rare change, Tracey spoke with conviction. Because of everything that had come before, she truly trusted Heidi. She knew that she would never do that. “She might have wanted me out, but she wouldn’t have done that.”
“You sure sounded like you meant them.” There was a lot of conviction in Sara’s words, tone and expression for there not to be some truth to them. “Are you sure you didn’t hate me? Hate me because I made you do…things we shouldn’t have?”
Tracey shook her head. “I could have been happy with you. I was when you weren’t treating me like shite. I was when you treated me like you cared and that you genuinely wanted me, not like when you treated me like a whore and ran back to Theo.”
“I didn’t care that it needed to be a secret, I just wanted you,” she admitted, choking back tears.
Tracey shook her head as tears began to truly flow. How could this be happening? Could this be the truth or was it more of Sara’s hurtful lies?
“I begged you to let me come back!” Tracey sobbed. “If you never stopped…why did you…do that stuff to me?” Sara had been at her most cruel the few overtures she had made to get back together with Sara.
