“Calm down? Calm down?” Tracey repeated, her tone a frantic, almost hysteric. “That’s easy for you to say, you weren’t the one that is now being treated like…” She trailed off, unable to find the words. It was ironic since Sara was just as “disgusting and depraved” as Tracey was.
“Really?” She was obviously shocked by Sara’s flat denial. There was not cute, condescending half-denial. That was what Tracey had been expecting. It was why she had come. The truth was, she was feeling guilty. She needed to know Sara had done it before Daphne outed her to the entire school.
Tracey felt pride welling up that Heidi had protected her so gallantly. Despite being a lesbian, Tracey’d had fantasies about knights in shining armor. Who knew that Heidi would be hers.
Though, even she didn’t like the idea of an innocent person getting punched.
“I just might,” Tracey mumbled, her anger still simmered inside her. Someone had told her secret and she was hardly convinced that it wasn’t Sara.
“Who bloody did then?” she asked, wondering what lies Sara might try and tell her and trying to figure out a way to see through them.
