“Tracey?” The blonde scoffed at Sara. “That’s all you have to say to me?” She shook her head in hurt exasperation and barely able to resist the urge to slap Sara right across the face.
She started to resist when she was pulled inside. Knowing what Sara was trying to do, she ripped her arm away but didn’t prevent her from closing the door. Glancing over, she was shocked to see Daphne standing there.
What in the name of Merlin’s balls was Daphne doing there? Was she coming to fish around about the memory crystal? For a moment, she feared some sort of unholy alliance before coming to her senses. Daphne and Sara hated each other with a passion. She likely interrupted a fight.
“I should really be going,” Daphne stated coolly, looking down her nose at both Sara and Tracey before she made her way to the door and out.
“How could you?” Tracey asked again, once Daphne was gone. Her voice cracked as she folded her arms in front of herself defensively and glared at Sara.
