Tracey had been standing outside the door for a long time trying to decide if she should knock or not. She knew she shouldn’t. It also brought back memories of her waking nightmare about ending back up in Sara’s bed after breaking up with Heidi. The circumstances were different, but she found that she was still totally miserable.
She had been crying all day and she was desperate for some peace. Pansy and Millicent had been very cruel to her and Tracey hadn’t found a way to make them stop. She tired ignoring them, confronting them, laughing at them but nothing had worked.
Seeking some relief, Tracey knocked on the door. Her heart hammered and she hoped that Sara wasn’t inside. When she called out, a lump rose in Tracey’s throat. She almost ran right then.
Her cheeks were still a little puffy when Sara opened the door. Tracey’s expression was deeply pained as she looked at Sara. “How could you? I was the only one stupid enough to be the only person that thought you wouldn’t sink to that.”
