Daphne smiled happily. She was glad that Sara could admit it because surely she wasn’t placating her. Daphne knew her strengths; it was her weaknesses that she couldn’t seem to see. “She does seem to know a few juicy tidbits here and there,” Daphne admitted about Lavender with mock humility.
The suggestive tone she heard from Sara gave her some hope that she wasn’t just going to stay in her room and mope. Though, she would likely need that distraction. “You know what? I think I’ve heard that about you…”
Daphne shrugged but gave Sara a sultry smile. “Not really.” Taking a few steps closer, she stopped well within Sara’s personal space. “I do wonder…how appreciative you are of me upholding my end of the bargain?”
