"Oh, he is. Very." Heidi chuckled, trying to help lighten the mood, but the tension of the events was still strong. She stood nervously, hands stuffed in her pockets, biting her lip, not really sure what to do.
Heidi shook her head. "I told you that Hufflepuff's were accepting." She smiled softly. "I'm sure if you get to know some of them, you'll like them and they'll like you and they'll have no problem with us." She shrugged. "There are a lot more accepting people in this world than you think, Trace."
As Tracey sat on her bed, Heidi moved to sit next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "She won't. She may be upset, but she's your mother. You're all she has." Heidi tried to ease her girlfriend's worry, but she didn't know Tracey's mother, so she didn't know what she'd do.
"Things will work out, I'm sure." Heidi tried to assure the worried Slytherin. She rubbed Tracey's arm lightly. "Why don't you stay here the night? I know going back to Slytherin like this may be...difficult."
