Heidi didn't know what to do but tell the truth and hope that Tracey would believe her. She knew that the girl had every right not to believe her though. SHe thought of the worst, of Tracey leaving her, and she felt the tears begin to make their way down her cheeks.
Letting Tracey again move away from her, Heidi let her hands fall limp at her sides and her head hung, damp hair falling in her face to hide her tears. "You have to believe me Tracey. That's the truth." She knew it might be a hard truth to believe, but it was the truth. "She came onto me. I stopped her."
"She did, and I can tell it's true." Heidi said with conviction, but could tell any mention of Ginny was likely only to cause more suspicion. "Gabrielle was...too charming, even for a french girl. And...and when I was near, I almost felt...lightheaded. Not like the lightheaded I feel when I'm with you, but like when I've had a few drinks..."
"Tracey..." she said in a whisper. Trying again, she cupped her girlfriend's cheek so she would actually look at her. "Look at me. Please. I love you. I didn't do anything, I promise. I would never hurt you like that. Not again. You mean too much to me. So much..."
