Listening to Heidi stammer, Tracey was growing completely convinced that Heidi was lying. She had promised Tracey that she wouldn’t cheat. She'd likely done it again and now she was trying to get out of it after being caught. Heidi had been honest the first time. This time, however, it seem seemed that she had been caught and never had any intention of telling her what had happened.
She hung her head as Heidi touched her. She wanted to throw her arms around her girlfriend and cling to her and cry. She wanted to tell her she believed her and that it was all right. The difficulty was that Tracey didn't believe her and it wasn't all right…
Tracey pulled away from Heidi. Folding her arms, she looked away as her girlfriend, if that's what she still was, tried to explain.
More tears came as Heidi talked about Gabrielle pushing Heidi against the bookshelf. Her head snapped up. "What?" She looked at Heidi incredulously. It seemed totally unbelievable to her. It was also a perfect excuse. Sadly, with Fleur, it made all the sense in the world…
"Ginny told you?" Tracey's cheeks were red and puffy. It was clear from her tone that Ginny's word was hardly convincing in such an incriminating circumstance.
