Tracey smiled sadly. It was ironic that she’d never known someone well enough or liked them enough to make them a thoughtful present. She couldn’t even bring herself to say that she was glad that Heidi liked it as she stared down at her boots.
She shrugged, refusing to answer the question for the moment. When Heidi approached, she shied away. Ducking the kiss, she slid out of Heidi’s arms. “Yeah, thanks,” she said bitterly. Again, it was ironic that she had dressed that way for Heidi.
“You tell me,” she said, looking up at Heidi. Tracey’s eyes were glassy and she folded her arms over her chest. Shouldn’t bear to look at Heidi and looked away. Reaching into her cloak, she took the panties out and thrust them into Heidi’s hands.
