“It won’t be that bad,” Clara assured her. “It does though. You’re right.”
“How are you feeling?” she asked from her where she stood brewing the next potion. She heard the Sara’s breathing slowed. She hoped that meant that the younger girl was feeling better. The potion she’d made should have eliminated all symptoms completely. It appeared that she might have been outmatched.
It took about twenty minutes to finish the potion. It looked like liquid fire as she ladled some into a cup and brought it over to Sara. “It will feel very warm when you drink it. Don’t worry, that just means it’s working.”
Handing her the cup, Clara stood by with her wand to cast cooling charms on Sara to keep her comfortable as the Liquid Fire Potion boiled the poison out of her blood.
