“That’s good to hear,” Clara responded slyly. “I’d hate to think it would take another catastrophe to get you to come seem me again.” She chuckled softly.
“Really,” she confirmed. “I am glad that we talked that night in the library. I am attracted to you and quite intrigued.” Clara felt nervous admitting her feelings as well. She fought off the impulse to hide behind her hair; barely.
“That depends,” Clara told her. “Like I said, I don’t share well.” She wasn’t sure how to tell Sara how she felt. “It’s not Theo. I mean, not really.” She knew that she would be a little jealous of him. Tracey was far more likely to be an object for her scorn and jealousy.
“I think about you too.” Clara knew their relationship, by its nature, would not be all sunshine and rainbows. But, for the moment, she let herself indulge in that fantasy.
