Gabrielle shrugged with false modesty. “I certainly ‘ave friends at school,” she told Heidi. Regarding her for a moment, she grinned slyly. “Quite a few boys, oui. Zhough, zhere are quite a few girls who are rather fawning as well.” Gabrielle didn’t comment as to whether she liked it when the girls fawned over her.
“Zee life of a Quidditch Captain?” she asked, genuinely curious. “Zhat doesn’t leave much room for fun. Zhat is sad, non?”
Gabrielle nodded. “Life iz more interesting when I am busy. I am zee President of zee Charms Club. I date quite a bit.” She shrugged, it didn’t sound that busy when she put it that way. “Zhere are a lot more functions at Beauxbatons zhan zhere are ‘ere.”
As she kicked her foot gently, she let it brush Heidi’s calf as she looked at her.
