"My bones are all healed, Trace, I'm just a bit sore." She lied. She knew that Tracey might not like it, but she saw it as a necessity. She had always been taught that she couldn't slip up and had to push through any pain. "If I follow Madam Pomfrey and take the couple weeks off like she said, I'll not only be out of practice, but I'll miss both games." Again, she inadvertently revealed the full extent of what she was doing. She was suppose to take two weeks to heal and she wasn't planning on taking one day off.
Heidi was about to continue trying to convince Tracey she was alright when she stopped as Tracey confessed, her mouth opened slightly. Had she heard right? Had Tracey just confessed her feelings? A brilliant smile graced her features. Leaning in, she rested her forehead on Tracey's, stroking her cheek softly. "You...really?" she asked, so, so happy.
Tracey's confession and how totally worried she looked, made Heidi rethink. "If it'll make you feel better, I'll rest tomorrow and just run the practice and go back the next day." She knew that that wasn't nearly enough time to heal, that she really needed all two weeks, but she hoped Tracey didn't realize that. Not that anything mattered right now. Tracey loved her!
