Heidi looked to Tracey with a confused face as she pulled away, causing her fingers to untangle from Tracey's hair and removed from her thigh. Heidi didn't know why at first Tracey was pulling away until Tracey spoke and immediately felt bad. But she couldn't afford to skip any practice.
"Tracey, I have to." Heidi tried to explain without Tracey getting mad, "since I screwed up today, we have two more games that we have to win by twenty or more points. I can't afford to take any time off."
Heidi knew she was probably being very hard on herself, but she knew she couldn't chance it, letting her team down once was enough.
Seeing that Tracey was upset, Heidi reached out to stroke Tracey's cheek, "I'll be okay. I promise.
