Heidi caught Tracey in an unguarded moment. Trying to put up a good front, she smiled weakly and waved Heidi over. Again, she cast her eyes around to assure that no one was spying on them.
As she waited for Heidi to come over, Tracey did her best to compose herself. She did not succeed as Heidi got to her. Stepping further out of sight, she went to speak but she choked up.
Looking down, Tracey fought to control herself. “Sara knows…about us. She confronted me about it last night. She…” Tracey trailed off, her throat closing and she couldn’t get anymore words out for the moment.
