Sara’s threat made her blood run cold. She knew that Sara would too. She needed to get out of there and get out of there fast. “I wouldn’t tell her, if I were you,” Tracey told her in a soft but strong tone. She hinted at a trump card she had as well.
Tracey pushed Sara away. It took a lot of willpower not to reach over and rub the marks that Sara had left.
She couldn’t argue with Sara’s logic because she knew it was true. Sara was part of her and her history, there was no changing that. And as odd, hostile and unhealthy as their relationship was, she still had a small place in Tracey’s heart.
Tracey couldn’t even summon anything more to say. Turning on her heel, she ran off towards the stairs hoping that Sara wouldn’t follow her.
