“I’m not the only Halfblood in the entire world. There are plenty of successful ones. Ask around, I bet there are more than you think,” Tracey rebutted, trying to sound like it didn’t bother her. Sadly, most Halfbloods kept their lineage a secret so she didn’t really have any examples to cite.
“Like I thought that’s what was going to happen?” Tracey seethed. “Lots of people fool around without someone doing something like that to them.” She had wrestled with it a lot since it had happened. “I bet the first girl you were with just did it without making sure you wanted it.”
Honestly, she hadn’t had a big problem with it until Sara broke up with her, demonstrating she didn’t care about her at all. It only felt worse now that she was actively antagonizing her.
“I’m not her dirty little secret,” Tracey rebutted. But as she spoke, every insecurity she felt came flooding back to her. “What about you? You and Theo?” she accused angrily. “You are with him and don’t even have a girlfriend. I bet you are really happy. Buy your dress yet?”
“The fact that she is a Pureblood means nothing to me.” In fact, it was a little bit of a determent, but she ignored it as best she could. “Pathetic how? Don’t you think her idea of what is pathetic and what you think is pathetic are two different things?”
