Tracey was amazed at how cold Sara could be. Her father was dead, after all, and Sara knew that. Did the girl have no compassion? She shrugged. “I would beg to differ.” Tracey planned to be rich and powerful when she left school. Then people like Sara would be force to eat humble pie. She just had to make it through school. “It isn’t me that’s lacking, I would say.” Tracey sneered at Sara, suspecting Theo was keeping her on a short leash.
Protectively, she tucked her necklace into her shirt and didn’t comment on it.
“I learned after you that no whores in a relationship works better,” Tracey replied with sickly sweetness, insinuating that it was Sara would had been the whore between the two of them.
Tracey had hoped that things could be good between her and Sara at some point. However, with the way Sara was acting, it seemed like that would never be the case. Tracey’s hands curled into fists and her knuckles were white for a moment before she released them. She knew Sara was just trying to get her angry. But why?
“Well, I guess stupid and poor go well together,” Tracey agreed, trying to disempower Sara insults.
Tracey felt dread welling up again. “And how do you know that? I didn’t realize you were a seer,” she observed with a sneer.
