“Except for Draco,” Tracey said with a hint of bitterness. With her advanced skills in potion making, she had honestly expected some special treatment from their head of house. While he didn’t treat her badly, Snape hardly showed her any special treatment or attention.
“You’re right though. I am getting pretty sick of everyone bending over backwards for the Gryffindorks,” Tracey said snidely, using one of her favorite insults for the red and gold prats.
Tracey chuckled. “Well, my…status as a single girl hasn’t exactly given me much opportunity to enjoy myself,” she said with a hint of bitterness. Tracey chewed her bottom lip for a moment. “Would you…take advantage of your freedom if you weren’t…promised?” she asked, staring straight at a pile of tin bars.
“Yeah, he seems a little…full of himself,” Tracey admitted. “Daphne does strike me like she can be like that. But… There is something around the eyes, you know? Like she is an evil genius behind them or something.” She giggled. The exaggeration was funny, but she did think that Daphne might be smarter than she let on.
