“Ah,” Ginny replied. Her response to the news had been a seesaw of emotion. First, she had been disappointed to learn that Amanda and Gabrielle were an item. Then she was happy to learn they weren’t committed. However, she was curious as to what difference it made really. Gabrielle was flirting with her, sure, but was she being sincere about it? Sister in law! she reminded herself as if that answered the question. It’s not like they were blood relations…
Ginny noticed Gabrielle’s perfectly chosen and qualified words. Okay, she is flirting with me. No doubt. But, is she serious? “Well, good to hear. I am sure I will get some play time tomorrow and I don’t want to be exhausted.”
“Now is as good a time as any,” Ginny replied enthusiastically, before trying to hide it a bit. “Just let me say goodnight to the team.” She parted from Gabrielle briefly to her captain and coach know that she would be staying at her sister in law’s house and that she would be at the pitch on time. They weren’t too pleased with the idea, but relented at the idea she was family.
Coming back, Ginny began to walk towards the antechamber and its fireplace to access the Floo Network. “So, where are we having our sleep over?”
