Gabrielle shook her head. "I fished it out of zhe trash at lease four times now." She grinned triumphantly. "I think zhat it was worth saving, non?" Gabrielle purred seductively as she looked down and played with the hem of it.
"You could not be more wrong," Gabrielle said. "I was in zhe 'house of scarlet and gold." She smirked. "Keep guessing, soeur."
"I do. Just her?" Gabrielle shook her head. "You did not take one of 'er friends to bed with you? Or something else exciting?" She rolled her eyes. "You are losing your touch," Gabrielle teased. A hint of her jealousy showed through in her joke.
"Of course not!" Gabrielle made a tsk, tsk sound with her tongue. "What better lovers out zhere zhan a Delacour, non?" She genuinely believed that. She knew she would have lovers that were different and hence better in a short term way, but no one would compare to the prowess of her sister. Gabrielle truly believed that Fleur couldn't dispute that about her.
