“Do you think there is anything I could do to get her to like me?” Lavender wanted Gabrielle to like it. It was obvious that she and Fleur were close. If they had anything together in the future, which Lavender certainly hoped that they did, it would be better for them if Gabrielle and Lavender got along. “Do we have anything in common? Besides you, that is?” she added with a blush.
“I was thinking that Parvati might come to Paris for the weekend when we go. If Gabrielle will be there, that is?” she offered. Lavender added, “Though, they will need their own room or rooms.” She gave Fleur a smoldering look. “I want you all to myself when we are alone,” she said, looking through her eyelashes.
Lavender’s cheeks turned an even darker red. “Well…it’s girl talk… I am…not sure that I should really say.” She giggled shyly. “It’s all good. Except that we can’t be…obvious. But, I know we can’t and that’s okay.”
“My mum wouldn’t know the difference between Beauxbatons and Hogwarts if it walked up and bit her,” Lavender said with a laugh. “She is a Muggle. But, she is glad I made a friend from France. She like France much better and tries to get my dad to spend a lot of time there.” She giggled again at the thought of Fleur as “her friend”.
