"Well that's very noble of you, George. I'm sure all the fine feathered friends will appreciate being able to poop in your hair, even if it's not still attached to your head," she said sweetly. Luna Lovegood was the only person that would have a conversation about hair and bird poop. Just the fact that George was going along with her showed that maybe she wasn't completely crazy. Either that or they both were. It was hard to say. Birds did take hair for nests and things though.
She was very lucky that her father was just as eccentric as she was, if not more so. He didn't bug her to get a 'real' job or anything. Her father supported her more than anyone else. Luna never wanted to be stuck inside with some desk job. She'd cry. The older she got, the more she realized how glad she was that she actually had friends who didn't mind her oddness. "Oh that would be so cute!" she exclaimed with a grin. "And a fluffy tail. You have to have one of those," she then said seriously. If he needed a test subject, she'd happily do so.
"That's why you're my favorite Weasley. Shh, don't tell Ginny." Luna winked at him and giggled. If she could inspire George to make fun things, then she would. "Oh dear. Well maybe you should give her a vacation too."
