Cheering people up and saving them from their boredom was the least that Luna could do. She was pretty good at it, if she said so herself. It was so much easier to just be herself around people who actually appreciated her oddness. "You don't want birds to live in your hair and then poop in it?" she offered, trying to look as serious as possible. Then she started to giggle. "Actually, I think birds would be appreciative if you left your hair clippings out and about for them to use."
George was definitely a fellow eccentric, and that's why she liked him so much. Even with Harry or Ginny, they might wonder why she would choose to wear glasses that sparkled and shot off fireworks. Luna appreciated that George just handed her the glasses and told her how nice she looked in them. Even if he was just being nice. The world would be so sad if it was full of boring people. She looked quite pleased by the idea of rabbit ears for Easter. "Oh would you? Yes with a rabbit, or rabbit ears up on top. Maybe I can find a way to get my nose to twitch." She wrinkled it up a little bit to see if it would work. "You have a brilliant mind, George Weasley."
If she got stuck making notes about pros and cons of visiting every country, she'd never get anywhere. Even places that were all desert had something in them for her to see. She wanted to see everything. "It's always the journey that's the best, yep. You should try it some time. Just pack up and go? It's fun." Though she understood some people just wanted to stay home. Not her.
