He considered this possibility for a moment. "I think I'd be alright," he finally responded, tapping his chin in thought, "I don't think it would try to eat me, what with being a Gryffindor and all. I'm sure he'd see me as a fellow beast of courage and majesty." After a he snorted. "Well, courage and I do happen to have a rather nice mane of bright red hair. I feel that should count for something."
He didn't bother trying to hide the grin when she put them on. Most people looked absolutely ridiculous in them, as that was the point, but Luna always seemed to just pull it off naturally. It was awe-inspiring and he was perhaps a little jealous of said flawless ability. "You're very welcome."
