As I posted about two weeks ago, I am putting together a self defense workshop as part of my senior project. The date for the first workshop will be on Monday, March 24th. That is of course our first day back from spring break and I have tried to work it out so that there are very minimal conflicts, if any on that day.

ATTN Cast and Crew

As discussed during our previous meetings regarding Tony n' Tina's Wedding, this Friday, March 7th will be the date in which we are scheduled to check out the current production here in Orlando. There are 26 of us, cast (faculty members included) and crew and that is how many tickets have been reserved. The show begins at 7 PM and we will be leaving campus at about 6. The vans are scheduled to be here at about 5:30-5:45, so please keep this in mind and come early because we are going to need to leave on time in case we run into any traffic heading across town.

Because we are such a large group, we are probably going to be split up into about 3-4 different tables, so our experiences will vary somewhat. What I am going to ask, is that you not pay so much attention to how your character is played by this other actor, but to focus a bit more on the ways in which the cast interacts with the audience, in this case, the wedding guests. That's what is most important and to get a feel for the show itself. And by all means, I encourage you to all get as involved as you want. If a character comes over to your table, feel free to talk to them, dance, whatever. You are going to be in their positions next month, trying to reel people in, so keep that in mind. And just have fun with it really. After the show, we'll return to campus and you will all be free to do whatever you need to do and enjoy your weekends. We will have a meeting early next week to discuss the show and set some dates for fittings, etc.

To the students currently under in school suspension, your freedom will be returned to you on Friday afternoon, so you have no causes to miss this trip. It's really for your benefit and it's a lot of fun. I am expecting you all to come. I'll include the listing of the cast and crew here again, in case any of you need a reminder. I will see you all on Friday and if you need to, come speak with me.

Good morning, Altamont Academy!

Don't forget to sign up in Altamont Orlando for International Day. We need all kinds of volunteers and help.

Over the weekend a few situations occured to some of your fellow students. One student and a friend walked into a dangerous situation and luckily walked out with everything physically intact. Another group of students, broke curfew and ended up in a car wreck that hurt 1, but could've easily hurt the others.

Students, we must remind you to be SAFE at all times. You are under our care (both day and boarding students) and regardless of what you have been told, CURFEWS AND RULES ARE TO BE ABIDED! I'll be working throughout the day on amending some of these rules so that they will be clear to all and will be posting about it.

Teachers, please excuse the following students from your classes for the week. They will be serving Indoor Suspension (ISS) with me in room 290B. I ask that you have school work prepared for them by 7:45am every morning so that they may be able to pick it up for thier day.

This suspension includes all games, school activities, and clubs for the week. It also means that their driving/off campus priveldges have been suspended, and that they will NOT be eating breakfast or lunch with the student body. This will last until Friday at 3:15 pm.
