All right, attention please! My fellow players, it is just about that time. IJ has purchased the servers and they are now being prepared for the switch (according to this Squeaky post.) They are also updating the OS on the servers and this may affect our journal layouts and/or user pics. So, while they may not have any real data loss they are still recommending we back up.

Looking around I found THIS post from 2007 that has a lot of information. Previously I posted about LJ Archive. They also have LJ Sec and LJ Migrate both which do more than just back up your posts, they enable you to transfer them. There are also some mac options available. Check out the post, it's a great resource of programs and tutorials.

Migrating your icons
--- Open your icon page (edit or allpics, doesn't matter)
--- File --> save as --> Web page, complete
--- Open the folder it saved to, there will be an image folder with all of your icons
--- Use the multi-icon uploader to upload them to your new journal

Also a sidenote: did we know that Dreamwidth has a Import Journal tool that takes your entire journal and just zaps it over - comments/icons and all? So if worst ever comes to worst, there's always a place that we can turn to.

I don't know about you all, but I have a few new faces I'd like to see around the community this summer. The episode Liam appears in is scheduled for tonight at 10pm on NBC. Now, if you go look tonight you won't see him because this is only available in RP land. So, in RP land, anyone who wants to watch Liam's show will be able to catch it tonight at 10. I'll try to have vids up but I've had a very difficult time uploading youtube so... I might have to post the synopsis and let you go from there. Thanks! :)

Bonnie was MIA for classes today and will be tomorrow. Anyone who would go into her dorm, all of her things are destroyed, including her laptop. Any phone calls will go straight to voicemail and no e-mails will be returned.

Hey everyone!  Just thought I'd let you know that if your character reads the Orlando Sentinel and happened to be looking through their Calendar section, there's a big ad ther for Tony & Tina.  There are also flyers posted all over both schools and up in local eateries and mom and pop shops = basically anyone she was able to charm to put up her posters.  They look exactly like the one posted earlier by Katherine.

Emma is on campus today and tomorrow with two guests, Amy and Irial. They are with her in all her classes, lunch, and any other on campus activities.

Per Dani's request, her parents have rented a condo for her in Altamonte as part of her 18th birthday gift. What this means is that Dani will be a day student and no longer part of AA's boarding program starting this week.

Emma's mother has pulled her out of the boarding program and she is day student, until furthur notice. Which just means she's not living on campus for now. :(

Last night Milo was involved in a nearly fatal car crash in his Maserati. He and a group of students had decided to attended a Midnight screening in City Walk (past curfew, obviously). After the movie they went to eat at Denny's and then proceeded to go driving down an abandoned road. Milo wanted to show off his new souped up car and sped down the two lanes alone (while the other kids parked alongside the road) when a deer came out and caused him to swerve to miss hitting it. His car did a few 360s and went offside, rolling down a ditch and finally being stopped by a tree which nearly split his car in two. It luckily hit the passenger side and he, in a moment of complete shock, dragged himself out of the car and ditch and sat alongside the road where his friends came running. He went into a state of shock as the cops and ambulances were called. He was brought to the hospital with his sister alongside him where they found out he suffered from a mild concussion, sprained wrist, bruised ribs, whiplash, cuts and bruises.

His parents were of course called. The cops did their necessary inquiries, and 3 of the drivers (including Milo) received tickets for driving during restricted hours. The hospital informed Dean Martin and the Romano's of the incident and...

that's where we left it at. We've pmed the mods with the students involved. The mods will post the repurcussions of the students. As of right now, Milo is still at the hospital. He will be released tonight.

The boys soccer game was postponed due to the weather until TOMMORROW at 10am in Ft. Lauderdale. SO the bus trip was cancelled and there will not be a fan bus to Ft. Lauderdale. If the boys win tommorrow, they will be playing in the finals at 8am in Ft. Lauderdale. There will not be a bus trip to that game either. Wish the boys luck tonight! There bus leaves at 5am tommorrow morning.

Just a little FYI about Katherine that students and faculty alike would know/notice

-She prefers to go by her first name, as she said when she first came to AA in October. So most students would probably know this and call her Katherine as opposed to Ms. Evans.

-While she did make it known in a piece for the school paper that she was adopted, she doesn't make much known about her personal life.

-Katherine is very well dressed and has a very sophisticated sense of style. She is always dressed in the latest designer fashions. Her favorites being Chanel and Burberry. Along with her expensive sense of style, she drives a Range Rover. She's in the process of moving into a new home. These luxuries are nothing to the students who attend the academy, but for a teacher whose background is as a dramaturge in NYC, it doesn't seem to add up. She is very illusive about it all. This has lead to a rumor which has just started up that Katherine has a sugar daddy.

Because I'm almost positive that most people will not be around (myself included) I'm not going to make a Super Bowl thread. But it did happen, and it would be really cool if people mentioned it? Here are the need to know details:

- Milo and Zac are renting out part of Emma's massive house in Winter Park for a Super bowl party.
- EVERYONE is invited. They would've made it a point to ask even the kids who aren't into partying because there will be fun for everyone.
- The Super Bowl will be shown on 5 different screens. 1 outside by the pool through a projector, 1 on her patio, 1 in the game room, 1 in the theatre (no drinks allowed in there), 1 in the living room (no drinks allowed)
- Party starts at 3 pm, Game begins at 6:30pm
- Lots of food and beverages. Hired Bubbalou's to grill from 4-7pm. Kegs, soda, juice, liquor etc..
- They are taking a page out of the college kids parties and buying lots of outdoor games. Slip-n-slides, water guns and water balloons.
- Inside games, courtesy of Emma's father's business, will be a library of every EA video game and consoles, especially Rockband.
- Rockband competitions before the game on the patio.
- All sorts of contests and competitions.
- $200 football pool that a random person will win.

I think I've got it all covered. It'd be nice if everyone who plans on attending commented to help others know who went. Maybe even put down what you did, or whatever. And if people want this to be threaded, I'm sure Zac-s and I can come up with a plan to do it later on or tommorrow so let us know that too.
