Snyder: Naming bridge after Gordie Howe a no-brainer
So they're going to build a second bridge in Detroit over to Canada (which is a great thing since it's going to be owned by Michigan and Ontario, I could go on about this but Iwon't did in the comments), and they're going to name it after Mr. Hockey himself, Gordie Howe! He played 25 years for the Red Wings.
BUT SERIOUSLY. A bridge between Detroit and Canada, named after a hockey legend. What is more fitting than that?

A bit about Gordie:
Howe is most famous for his scoring prowess, physical strength, and career longevity. He is the only player to have competed in the NHL in five different decades (1940s through 1980s). Although he only achieved the feat twice in his own career, Howe became the namesake of the "Gordie Howe hat trick": a goal, an assist, and a fight in the same game.
