Marietta turned her head to look at Cho and reached for the other woman's hand. She needed to feel grounded now. "Thanks," she said. Although she wondered when they would reach that point, when Marietta messed up one too many times. That point had to exist even if it was a way off. While she wasn't looking forward to hitting it, she knew that when it came it wasn't going to be something she would bounce back from.
"Do you think I can stay here tonight?" Her voice was quiet, almost like she didn't want to ask, but she did because it was what she needed to make it through the night. "I don't think I could handle being alone in my flat."
The muggle saying was wrong of course. The sky actually started to get lighting just before dawn. She was closer to midnight, with no moon out tonight. And normally she liked the darkness, but these days it wasn't so comforting.
