He couldn't help but sigh in relief that she took his hand, mostly the fact that he hadn't been sure she wouldn't pull away.
The thought was new to him...himself, dead. Killed. Reasonably death was something that happened everyday, but he couldn't possibly imagine himself dying. He felt a bit invincible. Bella, apparently, didn't think so. He embrace her tightly. "Nothing will happen to me," he assured her. He was protected here, at Hogwarts, sometimes ever more so than at home. Plus, he didn't think he was too bad with a wand either, and good probably protect himself if need be.
Though Bella trailed of in her thoughts, Albus was curiously struck by this statement. "What did he say?" he inquired.
"How it was last time." Albus shook his head. He grew up with stories about the past war, around a family that had people die. "If this escalates even more than it is, then no one's completely safe..." he said absently.
