Summary: Shay wants to talk to Albus about Scorpius coming since she invited him and we'll see where it goes from there.
Shay stood in front of her bedroom mirror her shirt pulled up as she looked at herself. She was only two months along now but still she wanted to see a change. As scary as it still was, and as much as they were still in that time period where she had to be careful, Shay was looking forward to it. It might not make sense but she was.
At least this change in their life was positive as opposed to all the negatives they had already been through attempting to get to a positive point. Sometimes it was nearly exhausting to try and make sense of things, but this? This was simple and it was natural. It was even beautiful when you thought about it.
Sighing, Shay pulled her shirt down and looked around the bedroom before going about cleaning it up a bit. She already put fresh sheets on the bed and cleaned up the room a good bit. But with Albus having spent quite some time in bed, she wanted to make sure it was clean as possible for him now that he was feeling a little better. She worried about him. Anytime someone tried to quit something they were all but addicted to it was hard. But she hadn’t exactly expected him to be that way. Then again, whoever expects to have your partner be moodier than usual?
“Albus.” Shay called out. “I’m putting your mobile on its charger.” Before she did exactly that for him and then again for her. They could live without their mobiles being on their person for one evening. It wasn’t as if that would kill them. It might be good to ignore a few calls for the night, especially after the influx she had that day about the practice and what she was planning to do when she had the baby.
Shay wasn’t sure what was going to happen, all she did know, was right now things were far too stressful everywhere to worry about magic and the practice. So Shay say what she thought was best, that they close it until magic was restored and direct patients to Mungos or muggle hospitals. It was what was safest until everything was okay. They risked too much for themselves and others, otherwise.
When Shay finished with the upstairs she brought the dirty blankets and laundry down to the laundry room and dropped it off before sighing. It was a long day and she knew that Albus was going to need something to get his mind off of what was going on, so she decided to talk to him about Scorpius moving in. That was bound to cheer him up, right?
Shay pulled a drink from the fridge, a bottle of water actually, before heading downstairs to the ‘man room’ as Albus dubbed it to find him. When she saw him she paused at the doorway and just watched him. They hadn’t spent as much personal time together lately as she might have liked. But with him being so ill and off she did all she could to make him comfortable as opposed to making her that way. It was about him right now not her.
“Albus.” She said in a soft tone as she gently knocked to get his attention after a few more moments of watching him. “I brought you some more water, and I wanted to talk to you about Scorpius. He said that he can get elves to help him move in this weekend if that’s what you’d like. It might be nice for you to have some company. I know I haven’t been…the best. I’m sorry.” She was genuine in her apology. She felt like she should have been able to do more for him. For her as healer it was horrible being powerless to take the pain away. All she could do was hold him and even that sometimes only made him angrier at her.
“I’ll just leave it here for you then and you can talk to Scorpius about all of it. I don’t know if you had made plans I just…spoke to him to help.” Shay moved forward and set down the bottle the bar not too far from where Albus was. It wasn’t stocked anymore, and in fact all it housed now were his pool supplies and the card table supplies if he wanted to put the cover on and turn the pool table into a card table for poker nights.
By now Shay’s hair was back to its original color. Thankfully the charm hadn’t lasted too long, apparently though it ‘worked’ it was also temporary. So Albus wouldn’t have to get too used to the darker hair. That and well…she didn’t even know if she liked it. It made her look dead.
“Do you need anything before I go back upstairs?”
