Kidnapped auror wasn't discovered missing until preplanned raid stumbled over her
Hestia Jones, a longtime auror, was discovered yesterday as a kidnap victim. Though the details are sketchy, it appears that the raid that resulted in two of Jones's auror trainees finding her locked in a Cornwall hideout has been in the works for some time. An anonymous informant apparently leaked details of Death Eater activities to the aurors some time ago, and the place has been under surveillance since then. There is no word on how Jones was brought into the place without arousing suspicion of those who were watching the place.
No one knew that Jones was missing, in part, because there was an impostor standing in for her with the aid of physically altering potions or spells, possibly Polyjuice. Though Jones is currently involved with Dominic Abbott, the Minister of Magic, his office had no statement to release at press time.
