Use the backdated tag when you are writing a thread taking place prior to the opening thread dated on 8/8/2015. Anything after that is just a regular thread/log/narrative. Also remember to add subjects to your threads as they're pretty.

These can’t be beaten easily or quickly, but they certainly aren’t the more dangerous of the list.
