James couldn't say that he was looking forward to this, exactly. He knew what a toll the full moon took on Remus, and was more aware of the danger of what they were doing than he had been when they were younger. Still, he felt that he should be allowed a little nostalgia for their school days, when this had been essentially their biggest concern, and he couldn't help but associate this time of the month with the feeling of running free and wild. That was a nice feeling, for him, and he'd always made a point to enjoy it, so that the full moon wasn't something to dread.
Merlin knew Remus dreaded it and worried about it enough for all of them.
It was four o'clock when he knocked on the door to Sirius' flat. Since he'd intended to arrive early, just to set Remus' mind at ease, he was actually running late. At least he was on time according to their plan; that was what mattered.
