Sirius sighed. "Oh, gods, Remus." He leaned his hands on the counter and looked down at them for a minute and then looked back up at Remus. "Yes, you might upset Vera again, but I might too. You've upset her, she's upset you; I've upset you, I've upset James--That's what happens sometimes when you care about someone! That's what happens in families!"
He reached out and grabbed Remus, pulling him close. "She's still here. I'm still here. You're still here. Do we care any less for one another? No. Loving someone doesn't always demand understanding, does it?"
