Log: Tommy and Kurt
Who; Tommy and Kurt
When; May 24th, early afternoon
Where; Some costume store
What; Tommy drags Kurt along to help her shop for a costume -- probably so she can torture him. Which she does.
Kurt didn't know why Tommy dragged him out shopping. He didn't know the first thing about women's formal wear. He intended on wearing his pirate costume to the prom, because ... it was a costume and there were pirates in fairy tales, right? He hadn't thought about matching with Tommy, because he hadn't thought that he and Tommy were going together. Sure, they were sort of living in a state of sin, but that was on the hush-hush.
So he was there with her, tail tucked into his pant leg to hide it while his image inducer was on. He was pale and skinny and trying to walk like a normal person----easier with the back brace on, actually, but walking upright instead of bounding along all hunched was very awkward and weird for him. They were in a sea of dresses and he was sort of overwhelmed with it all. It was just all so... fluffy. It was all beautiful (Kurt had a bit of a theatrical side), but he didn't know where to start. He surreptitiously leaned over and peeked at a price tag. Hoo. So expensive. Maybe they should go to another store.
Tommy hadn't done much with the money she'd been left, but she could use a dress. An expensive one, when she could afford it. And she could accord it. Right? And then meant going to a rather nice costume store in New York City. They had to find something, right?
She didn't have much to go on, however, and had ended up telling the clerk that she ... liked pirate movies, maybe there was something with pirate-y things? It wasn't a total lie, Tommy liked Errol Flynn, thanks to Kurt, and that was the limit of her fantasy prowess. Which ... somehow meant she was dressed like a fairy? It was all messed up.
Sticking her head out of the dressing room, she "pssst!" in Kurt's direction. Wearing her image inducer, she looked drastically different, her hand light and pink when she beckoned Kurt over, hissing, "Come in here."
Kurt tucked his hands into his pockets and snuck over, looking around quickly like he was going to get caught. "What!" he whispered. Like he wasn't supposed to be near the ladies' dressing room. And he wasn't. That was no good.
"Just come in here, I'm not turning the inducer off with the door open. She's not looking." Come on, Kurt. Tommy gave him a pleading look.
Kurt hopped from foot to foot, fidgeting, and then... oh, to hell with it. He ducked into the dressing room and closed it up again. There! That wasn't so hard!
He felt all dirty.
As soon as he was in, Tommy closed and locked the door, turning off her image inducer. Green was ... not Tommy's color, especially not vivid green with ... wings.
"Kurt, what the hell is a tinker bell?"
Kurt made a face, jumping back against the wall. That was a big neon nightmare staring at him right there. "Uh----uh. A fairy. From Peter Pan."
"From what?"
"Peter Pan?" What, was Tommy that sheltered? Who didn't know Peter Pan? Kurt blinked. "It's a book. Movie. It's... That Tinker Bell is the movie. A movie. One of a lot of movies." Helloooo.
"Don't look at me like that, I grew up underground." And not watching Peter Pan. Come on. There were some things she didn't know. "Anyway, obviously, in green, I look like ... like cotton candly threw up all over me." Her skin really limited what she could wear without hurting people. Shaking her head, she turned away from him, starting to tug the dress off without much thought. Please. Kurt had seen her naked. "Maybe a toga. I'll wear a toga, can't go wrong with white."
Whether or not he'd seen her naked, Kurt still averted his eyes. Politely. That didn't keep him from sneaking a glance from between his fingers. As good as he was, lust was his weakness, and Tommy? Had ... what was the American for it ... had a sweet ass. He'd like to reach out with both hands and----tch. Shame, Kurt.
"You look good in white."
"Thank you." Playing innocent, comfortable in her own state of undress even when she knew Kurt was right behind her. Reaching down to pick up the dress as it felt from her hips, she tossed it on the bench, reaching for a different costume. You know, the nice, safe, white toga. She could be from a Greek myth, that counted, right? "It's the only color I can wear without burning people's eyes out."
"Black's all right," said Kurt, making himself comfortable as he leaned against the wall. "Pale pink..?" He wasn't good with fashion advice but he could remember the outfits he liked looking at her in. Pink, blue.. yeah. She looked good in those.
"Pale pink might work -- or make me look like cotton candy." Though she was starting to get the feeling she would just have to get used to that. Pulling the toga over her head, Tommy fiddled with the strings in the front. Totally historically inaccurate, real Greek togas hadn't been held together in the front by, what, gold-colored shoe laces? Whatever that was. "Okay, how's this?" She turned, spreading her hands.
Kurt pulled his hands away from his face and grinned slightly. "That looks good," he said. It didn't blind him so much that he couldn't control his horrified reaction, at least. There was Good and there was Bad and there was really nothing in between.
Tommy sighed, smoothing the skirt. "Good. So, what are you going as, Errol Flynn?"
Kurt offered her a sheepish, toothy kind of grin. "The only costume I have is a pirate costume." And that was good enough for him!
There wasn't a whole lot of room between them, so the step she took toward him was small before she touched his cheek. "That's cute. ---You know, you look ... horrible with the image inducer on."
Kurt blinked, and he offered her a startled, crooked smile. "I do not know whether to take that as a compliment or not. You look pretty bad with yours on, too."
Tommy grinned, giving him a peck on the lips before shifting away. "It's a compliment. I like you better as you."
"Oh, good, I like me better as me, too." Kurt leaned around her in order to look in the mirror. He was so pale. He touched his cheek, inspected his teeth. Huh. How very strange. His teeth still felt pointy but they didn't look it. Amazing.
It was bizarre, to turn and look in the mirror with a human Kurt behind her. If anything, it made Tommy look more freakish. "You're pink," she commented, shaking her head.
When Kurt had his inducer on, Tommy seemed able to keep her hands off him. And when she had hers on, Kurt could keep his hands off her... sometimes. Now it was off and he was looking at her backside and thinking of all the things he wanted to do with her while in this dressing room. Releasing all of these sexual inhibitions was a fun game. He was going to go to Hell, but it was a fun game. He had to go to Confession soon. Beg God for forgiveness and ask for strength against fiendishly attractive women.
"...You should go as some kind of demon," he finally said. Evil succubus that she was.
No, she was just better at controlling herself these days. And got off on messing with with in public. Looking at him over her shoulder, Tommy grinned. "Trying to tell me something, Kurt?"
Kurt lifted his eyes quickly. No, he wasn't looking at her ass. "You're the Devil."
Tommy raised her eyebrows, taking a step toward him. "Really?"
Kurt gulped, pressing himself back against the wall. Don't touch her, don't touch her, don't touch her. "Really." A rainbow-colored she-devil with a sweet ass. He was going to Hell.
Tommy curled her fingers in the hem of his shirt, leaned up like she was going to kiss him --- but didn't. "If I'm the devil," she breathed. "What does that make you?"
Kurt bit down hard on his lip. "The poor soul you've captured and taken down to Hell."
"I didn't take you anywhere. I think you jumped." Tommy pressed her mouth ever so gently to his forehead, whispering, "It takes two to fuck mindlessly against a wall, Kurt."
And then, like nothing had happened, she was moving away, fussing with the laces of her toga in front of the mirror.
Kurt grimaced, leaning in as she left him. He couldn't decide whether he was grateful or disappointed. He had no idea what he was caught up in, and yet... he was enjoying it. Damn her. Damn her.
"You'll have to tell me more about demons when we get back," she said casually, undoing the laces and pulling off the toga like he wasn't even watching. Without all the complications? This was fun.
