Narrative/Thread: Professor X, X-Men, Faculty, & Havok Who: Charles Xavier, X-Men, school faculty, and Alex Summers (and maybe a couple of the superhero NPCs who make it there) When: Tuesday, March 4. 7:00 A.M. Where: Xavier's office/classroom What: Professor X has called a meeting to discuss what's happened to Scott and... it's not pretty. Notes: You don't have to respond to this, this is largely a "you can just say you were there" thread----but if you have a character who wants to speak up, he/she definitely can.

There they were. All of them. With everyone in the room it felt overcrowded, stifled, and his throat felt dry. Mystique (his marmalade cat, not the woman) was huddled under his desk, hiding away from everyone, but Charles Xavier didn't have that kind of a choice. People thought he was so calm to the point where he was uncaring----and that was hardly the case. Right now? Right now his calmness was just a mask. Someone like Logan could no doubt hear the way his heart was pounding violently in his chest, would be able to smell his apprehension.
"As you all know, we're here to discuss Scott Summers," he said, maneuvering his wheelchair out from behind the desk. "His plan to put himself in the line of fire with the Friends of Humanity did not go as expected----he was abducted by the Brotherhood prior to our rescue. I..." He cleared his throat. "I have been told, via telephone by Mystique, that Scott is alive and will continue to live as long as we don't move forward with our plans against Magneto."
He hesitated for a moment, dragging his fingertips along the arm of the wheelchair and then finally setting his hands in his lap. "If we don't, Scott will continue to be held as a hostage, to make certain we don't do anything. Now... we all know Scott, and there isn't a chance that he would back down with this in order to save his own life. If this choice was his to make, we all know what decision it would be and he would be stunned by the idea of our hesitation. Therefore..." His hands were shaking, and he clasped them more tightly in order to hide it. "Therefore, we move forward as planned."
He held up a hand before the outroar could begin. "However. I will be sending Alex----if you don't mind being involved in this, Alex----ahead of us. I have Scott's location and they won't be expecting anyone to move in to rescue him. But in the end, this is far bigger than Scott, bigger than any of you, or me... and Scott would be laying down his life in a second if it meant success in this venture. We will do what we can to save him."
