Who: Dr. Milbury, FoH, OT X-Factor Investigations Members
Where: A cafe, then the X-Factor Office
When: December 13th, then December 14th
What: Dr. Milbury sets the FoH on the trail of X-Factor Investigations.
Afternoon, December 13th
Two men at a cafe having a conversation. There was no reason to pay much attention to them. Of course, they were two men who should have been paid attention to.
"Dr. Milbury," the man, black suit matching the man across from him, his blond hair slicked back from his forehead. "Are you certain?" He was looking at an index card that would be burned with a lighter before he got to his destination and probably left in the ashtray of some bar quite some distance away from this place and the object of his interest. "This is the location of the nest?"
"It masquerades as a legitimate business. Yet it is filled with the perversion that is mutancy and seeks to brand as crime the correct behavior of some of our brothers and sisters." Exactly the kind of language that would draw in the fanatic. "Surely you cannot pass up the chance to bring it down?" The question was asked as if the resolve of his companion was not equal to the task.
"No, no, you're right. If this is the place, it must be destroyed. This new order cannot be allowed to stand and only be continuing our efforts can we hope to give hope to those who see it as the way it must be now. It has become our duty to bring the light, to show that this is not the will of the Almighty, but only the perversion of the devil that masquerades as truth."
"Yes, you are correct." Internally, the dead man smiled; externally, he looked as if he were nearly awed by the simple eloquence of the speech of the man before him. "I must go, I have an appointment to keep." He excused himself as if he were indeed in a hurry.
"Go," the blond urged. "I'll convey what needs to be said to the others and we will begin straightaway." The two men parted ways.

Late Afternoon, December 14th
Subtlety was not a Friends of Humanity strong point. It was a party of five this time, three of whom were considered as being quite capable of taking on mutant foes. That meant that they had beaten mutants to death in the streets, not that they had actually ever fought a real mutant threat. After all, most mutants on the street were not trained in any way to actually fight with their powers.
The first of the group walked up the hallway of the building and seemed to pass the door of the Investigation office, without incident. Undoubtedly, Terry could hear him if she was sitting at the secretary desk in the front. She could also probably hear the slight ticking sound that was the thirty second timer, enough time for the first man to get back into the stairwell with the others, that was attached to the combination explosive. What was the combination? A strong explosive to blow the door itself and then a gas to obscure vision. Another of the group was just waiting for the explosive to go off so that he could cut the power to the building, trying to plunge the building into darkness.
The assualt would start in 3, 2, 1.
